Creative Future Opening Season: AV@AR

Co-presented by onedotzero and the newly opened CMoDA (China Millennium Monument Museum of Digital Arts) in Beijing, AV@AR is the opening event of a series taking place under the theme, Creative Future. It entails three units: a multimedia exhibition, an audiovisual programme, and an interactive music video lounge.
With 10 installations from both Chinese and international artists, the multimedia exhibition explores the evolution of the interactive experience. Concepts include light, strata movement, volcanoes, the origin of the human being, tribes, society, and cities, and artists include Aaajiao/Wang Zhenfei/Wang Luming, Beijing Makerspace, Fei Jun, FIELD/Universal Everything, Francis Lam, Joanie Lemercier (Anti VJ), Joon Y. Moon, Lab 212, Quayola, Super Nature/Wonwei.
The audiovisual programme consists of short films from onedotzero_adventures in motion and original film selections from youku.com, whilst the interactive music video lounge provides a multi-screen environment that seeks to engage the audience in new ways. “As virtual and augmented reality, avatars and new modes of expression are an erupting phenomenon in China, AV@AR refers to these changes in digital production, expression and a new, advanced way of seeing the world”.
